Located in Smyrna, TN, Designs by Sylvanye Teaching Studio is a vibrant creative space founded by Sylvanye "Sam" Roh a kiln-formed glass artist, silversmith, and certified Precious Metal Clay instructor. With over 30 years of experience, Sam masterfully blends artistry and technique to craft wearable jewelry, decorative home décor, wall art, dishware, and more.

Beyond her own work, Sam is passionate about sharing her skills through hands-on instruction. She offers workshops for all levels beginner to advanced in kiln-formed glass, metal clay, and 3D laser engraving and cutting on materials like wood, leather, acrylic, metal, and glass. Classes are available in-studio, online, and on-location, tailored for individuals, groups, businesses, and corporate team-building events.

As the #1 U.S. distributor of the MicroKiln and Grande Microwave Kiln, Sam shares her expertise with makers across the country. Her work has been internationally exhibited, including in Zama, Japan, and has been featured in notable venues such as the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian Gift Shop and the Frist Art Museum in Nashville. She’s also been highlighted in national and local media, including Channel 5’s Talk of the Town and Smyrna’s Journey Through Local Smyrna publication.
